Prior to gaining her legal qualifications, Meghan (Meg) was previously employed in Big 4 management consulting and has gained a wide variety of exposure to large scale change management projects across various Government and private sector services. Meghan is also a certified iOS and MacOS repair technician (Apple Genius) and is passionate about the use of technology and apps to assist families who are navigating separation and family law disputes.

Hailing from regional NSW, Meghan has a keen interest in family law matters involving family farms and agribusiness, as well as non-traditional parenting and same-sex relationships. She is a firm believer in delivering a bespoke approach to each client and matter and was recognised in Doyle’s Guide as a Rising Star in Family Law in Canberra (2023).

Prior to re-joining Australian Family Lawyers, Meghan gained considerable experience as an Associate family lawyer in a boutique private practice firm in Canberra and was most recently practicing in the civil law jurisdiction with the ACT Government Solicitor where she gained valuable insight to medical negligence and personal injury matters, as well as historical child sex abuse claims.

Meghan has experience appearing in both the Magistrates and Supreme Courts of the Australian Capital Territory, the ACT Children’s Court and the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia. She has a deep personal interest in family violence and personal protection matters as well as complex parenting matters, contested and litigated matters, divorce and separation including property settlements and documentation of agreements between parties. Meghan is experienced in negotiations, mediation and conciliation conferences, and has a strong desire to facilitate and explore alternative dispute resolution options, where possible.

Widely regarded for her warm and pragmatic approach to delivering cost-effective solutions alongside an exceptional client experience, Meghan endeavors to ensure her clients are adequately supported in seeking practical and realistic outcomes.

Meghan is the immediate past president of the Canberra Region Family Law Professionals Association (CRFLPA) and the current Secretary.

  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) (University of Canberra)
  • Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice (College of Law)
  • Admitted to the Supreme Court of the Australian Capital Territory and High Court of Australia (2020)
