With over 25 years’ experience specialising in family law, Carlene advises and represents clients across a broad range of family law matters, including parenting and property matters. She has developed particular expertise in complex property matters, with an emphasis on companies, trusts and taxation issues.

Carlene’s background in accounting complements her legal experience and assists her in navigating the often complex financial issues that arise in family law matters. She brings a detailed and commercially focused approach to property matters, with a strong understanding of the financial structures that can underpin family wealth.
An experienced negotiator, Carlene is solutions-driven and focused on achieving practical outcomes for her clients. She prides herself on building strong relationships with her clients and taking the time to understand their individual circumstances, priorities and concerns. Carlene works collaboratively with her clients to identify practical solutions and remains focused on achieving resolutions in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Carlene is also a qualified counsellor and a member of the Australian Counselling Association. Her counselling training complements her legal practice and provides her with additional skills in listening, communication and navigating difficult conversations. These skills are particularly valuable in family law, where clients are often dealing with significant personal and emotional challenges, including the impact of separation on children and parenting relationships. Carlene brings empathy and perspective to her matters while helping clients remain focused on practical solutions and informed decision-making.
